"I found a solution for the noisy restaurant problem. I used The Soundshuttle at Clyde’s last month. There were 8 of us sitting around at a table. Clyde’s is one of the noisiest restaurants in Northern Virginia.  I put the Soundshuttle in the middle of the table, put my hearing aid on t-coil and I could hear everyone sitting at the table just fine. "I have been HOH for quite a few years and had gotten to the place where I didn't go anywhere and if I did I always had someone with me to help.  I finally got tired of that and am now the proud owner of a portable loop.I actually went out to buy a new matress and had a conversation with the sales man.  It was wonderful.  After that I went to a meeting with one of my customers and we talked face to face instead of by email.I just can't tell yall how great I feel about doing this.It really is the first time in many years that I felt confident enough to go out alone.I know that this is just the first step of getting back out into the world and it is just sooooo exciting  I used it when I went out to eat without the mic and it picked up alot of noise from around us after that I knew that there are times that the mic is needed and times when it's not.
